This week's topic:
How have your reading habits changed in the past few years? Did you get interested in a new genre? Do you read more? Less? Why do you think your habits changed, if they did.
The biggest way my reading habits have change is that I am reading more than I ever have in my entire life! I make it no secret I wasn't a reader until about 8 years ago and now I ALWAYS have a book in my hands. I think the biggest reason they changed is because after I read a few good books I realized that maybe I had been missing out by not being a reader. I started questioning what books I had maybe passed up and because I wasn't a reader I never realized that there was a whole reading community out there. This all eventually lead to me getting a Kindle, which lead me to indie publishing, which lead to this blog! I know now I will always be a reader and I'm so grateful I learned how great reading can be!

We both know Twilight really kick started both of our reading. I read a little here or there when I was in school, but i used to find reading more of a chore. But once I found Twilight, and the reading community, it all changed. I have ALWAYS loved going to the library though. I would check out lots of books but never read them. Maybe I just overwhelmed myself at the time.
ReplyDeleteReading was always a chore even when I enjoyed it. I did the same thing at the library! I would get all these books and never crack them open. If I had only check 1 out I probably would have had the same result back then! lol

I felt the same way when I started reading, like, WHAT THE HECK HAVE I BEEN MISSING OUT ON!!! lol! I've been reading more than ever since I've found out about the book community. I don't know what I would do with out y'all, my fellow readers :)

I was the same way. I loved reading when I was a kid, but then when it became required in school, I kind of lost the love for it. It wasn't until my Senior year of high school when I started getting back into reading again.

I always have my phone on reading a book, it's my way of reading. I don't even use my Kindles anymore, just my phone. I only use my Kindles when my phone doesn't have charge, so I pick whichever Kindle has charge lol. Following you back through Blog Lovin.
